Sexy Beast

This is the story of a British heist specialist named Gal (Ray Winstone) who's retired to a Spanish coast villa with his girlfriend and another couple. The foursome's placid existence is shattered when a former associate of Gal's, Don Logan (Ben Kingsley) calls to hire Gal for one more bank job. The ensuing string of events centers around Logan's insistence that Gal take the job and Gal's reluctance to do so, which eventually leads the retired specialist back to London. The heavy British accents can be tough to follow (the DVD's subtitles option handles that, if it gets too thick) but Kingsley is brilliant as an intensely evil, maniacal man on a mission - a role totally deserving of the Oscar nomination he garnered for Best Supporting Actor.
