The Ten
DVD Review

Anyone who enjoyed MTV’s The State or the film Wet Hot American Summer should definitely pick this one up. The Ten is a series of short films based on the Ten Commandments. Paul Rudd narrates the film. Written by David Wain and Ken Marino, the film is typical of the absurd humor found in their past work. The film follows Adam Brody as he skydives without a parachute, and after being embedded in the ground he becomes a huge sensation, declaring himself a god. Winona Ryder has a ton of sex with a ventriloquist’s dummy, and Liev Schreiber buys a shitload of CAT Scan machines. In an odd twist on “thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife,” Rob Corddry longs for his fellow prisoner’s bitch.
