Mico de Noche

Editor's Review:

Jesus Christ, what is this? Some sort of experimental death metal? Because it sounds like a fucking din. It’s a mad tuneless cacophony, so loud and jumbled that you can’t even make out the lyrics clearly enough to determine whether Mico de Noche has anything approaching the “sense of humor” they tout so highly in their liner notes. The only thing on this album that even approaches listenability is the drunken drum intro to “Tu’s Place,” which sounds like The Shaggs except without the fanatical dedication to quality. No matter how young you are, this album will make you feel like an old man, because the only possible response to it is to launch into a geezer rant about the crap that the kids these days listen to.
