Supaphat

Lose Myself

Written By: Ky Junkins

Editor's Review:

There is no denying the musical talent of the funky jam band instrumentalists in Supaphat. These are no ordinary musicians—they drop sizzling keyboards, rampant and psychedelic guitar, phat bass, intriguing percussion and innovative hip-hop samples. The production is top-notch with a pitch-perfect blend of notes and timbres. However, the vocalist leaves something to be desired; his voice is just not exciting or interesting. His singing is more like talking, but he is not annoying like many frontmen, so the music remains palatable. They seem a strong candidate for regular radio play, which they have already earned in their hometown of Sacramento, especially with some vocal coaching. Plus, their live shows are probably off-the-hook danceable.
