Ben Harper

Live From Mars

Editor's Review:

Ben Harper's career has been mellow — solid, fruitful, yet mellow. His fans are ardent and loyal; his music is genuine and pretty incredible. But MTV's not rotating his videos, and there has been probably been only one radio hit — until now. Live From Mars is an amazing amalgam of old songs and new ones, all live, and filled with nuances that we haven't heard yet from Ben: beatboxing master Rahzel makes an appearance on "Steal My Kisses"; there are some killer covers and favorite songs sounding incredible and different; there are two discs full of goodness…I don't know why anyone wouldn't like this album.
