Missy Elliott

Miss E...So Addictive

Editor's Review:

It’s not a bad CD, but you’ve likely heard the best it has to offer. While Lil’ Miss Missy’s latest effort comprises the catchy, obligatory, single-worthy, dance / hip-hop / club joints common to Missy / Timbaland albums, Miss E... So Addictive’s overall mood and style is decidedly contemporary gospel. Fair-weather fans (like me: I’ve always sort of considered Missy’s singles guilty pleasures) probably won’t be down with the majority of the disc’s content. To her credit, however, Missy enlists the talents of Redman, Method Man, Genuwine and others on So Addictive, acknowledging her limits as an MC. She has a catchy sound, but this isn’t the type of disc you can play straight through, over and over.
