the Catheters

Static Delusions and Stone-Still Days

Editor's Review:

The long awaited follow up to The Catheters' debut CD release, Static Delusion and Stone-Still Days hits the ground running right out of the gate with "Been There Before," a rousing punk tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album - a collection of gloriously gritty, dark and cacophonous tunes that wallow in self-pity and disaffected youth angst. Despite the young age of this Northwestern quartet, they seem to have nailed down the whole revival rock sound without coming across as blatant rip-offs of punk's greatest names. Sure, you might have heard it all before, but so have The Catheters, and not only do they pay homage to their roots, they're obviously concerned with branching off in their own direction as well.
