Rasco

Hostile Environment

Editor's Review:

Hostile Environment is the third full-length recording from one of the most taken-for-granted MCs out of the Bay Area. Rasco has been overlooked by hip-hop's snobby elitists and criminally slept on by cookie-cutter-backpacker-wannabe-underground-heads. Hostile Environment lifts the standards for underground hip-hop put out by Bay Area MCs over the past couple years. Tight production comes from the Molemen and DJ Kalil of Self Scientific, and the record features guest MC spots from Planet Asia, 427, Ed OG, and El Da Sensai. This record will easily slide into your headphone rotation. If you never heard any Rasco, but are a fan of Xzibit's older material — peep Hostile Environment.
