Lexicon

It's The L!!

Editor's Review:

The latest release from Los Angeles independent hip-hop label Spy Tech Records is from none other than Lexicon, two white brothers (blood-related chaps, that is) whose styles will most likely, unfortunately be compared to Eminem’s. That’s too bad, because people shouldn’t associate these guys with frustrated MTV minions. Lexicon kicks it with inventive lyrical flows, cool soulful breaks and solid beats. This stuff isn’t going to change the face of hip-hop, but it’s obvious that, more than their mainstream counterparts, these guys feel the music they make, and it shows in nearly every funky keyboard loop and lyrical nod to the hip-hop old school. Members of Spy Tech crew Styles of Beyond, DJ Cheapshot and rappers Ryu and Takbir, make appearances on It’s The L!!, further strengthening this indie hip-hop release.
