Tenacious D

Tenacious D

Editor's Review:

In the ever shifting and seemingly arbitrary world of popular music, styles cycle in and out of popularity on a regular basis

Jack “Jables” Black and Kyle “Kage” Gass have finally brought us a Satan-praising album of Tenacious D goodness in the form of 14 virtuosi acoustic guitar-laden tracks sprinkled with some tasty comic goodness in between. Joined on drums on a few cuts by Dave Grohl, The D do for fat white dudes what Kid Rock did for Detroit trailer trash. They make the shit look easy. Some select tracks you might be familiar with from their HBO mini-show days, like “Kielbasa,” “Tribute,” “Lee” and “Double Team,” thrash on. New cuts like “Rock Your Socks” blows doors down. Stop what you’re doing right now to hail Satan, get your spine pierced and bow to the gods of rock - Tenacious D.
