Long Beach Dub All Stars

Wonders Of The World

Editor's Review:

Check it out, ska lives on. The LBDAS are back with some more surfy-reggae-punk type stuff that owes its life to Bradley Nowell. With Sublime resting in peace, the rest of that Long Beach crew slides along with some righteous cuts and some not so righteous ones. I like “It Ain’t Easy” for its slow, simple ska choruses that speak the truth about life; It ain’t easy / No it’s hard / So hard… The big single “Sunny Hours” is a made-for-radio, crossover track that suffers from the inclusion of Will.I.Am’s unnecessary rapping over it.
