Kittie

Oracle

Editor's Review:

They've got it down, for sure. The drums kick in, followed by spastic guitar, the thumping beats and finally, a voice. This isn't just any voice - it's intimidating, it's scary and it's a girl! Kittie is three chicks that rock…hard. Their sophomore effort Oracle has put them out there with the big boys and this is how they'll win: they have the head bangin' formula down, but then you get a loop of a hauntingly beautiful voice, from the lead singer Morgan Lander who can scream as well as she can sweetly sing. Standouts include "What I Always Wanted," and "Pink Lemonade," clocking in at ten minutes, which offers a mellower look at Kittie and the last track. If you like metal and want something with an edge and not the same ol' thing, pick up Oracle.
