Will Haven

Carpe Diem

Editor's Review:

Sacramento's Will Haven have been on the brink of "making it" for awhile now. Their new album, Carpe Diem, just may push them over the edge. It is, among other things, an awesome example of music's ability to find order in chaos. Solid guitar riffs and anger-induced vocals, courtesy of Grady Avenell, coalesce to form an album that pushes hardcore rock in new directions. Check out "Finest Hour." It starts soft, feeling like those clouds in the sky that appear right before an inevitable downpour. It steadily gains momentum until, all of a sudden, you are hit with Will Haven's musical storm. When it rains, it pours.
