Death By Stereo

Day Of The Death

Editor's Review:

As I am a fan of this kind of music, I can pick up on the subtleties of different bands and often where they're from, but if I didn't already know where these guys are from, I would have been lost here. I'm not saying this album is generic, just that it transcends local scenes and regional sounds. It's hard to tell where these So Cal boys come from just by listening; they have the screeching vocals with occasional harmonies, the over aggressive metal-tinged guitars, and the pounding double-bass drums. I would have liked this album by itself, but when I read the liner notes I saw they thanked an old friend of mine, so it's just that much better.
