Mr. Len

Pity the Fool

Editor's Review:

The latest release from former Company Flow member Mr. Len is a collection of dark and mesmerizing tunes featuring a variety of well-known and up-and-coming East Coast MCs. Len delivers 16 tracks of rugged and funky beats in his own unique style - plenty of deep bottom end hits, fucked-up electronic sounds, muted instrument loops (guitar, horns, key, etc,), and other gritty accompaniment. Pity the Fool sees Len's decidedly street vibe matched with rhymes from the likes of Juggaknots, Massinfluence, Jean Grae, Mr. Live, New York radio DJ legend Lord Sear and Arsonists' Q-Unique. The result is a pretty savage album - hard beats and rhymes for hip-hop fans who like their music dark, ugly and starkly real with plenty of underground credibility to boot.
