Give ‘Em The Boot 3

Editor's Review:

Normally I hate these compilation records, they're all too often just the label putting out a record featuring its tamer artists so that the younger people will buy it. That isn't the case here; this is a great compilation. It has the continuity that most lack. Whoever arranged the song order did a great job, it flows from street punk to dub influenced ska almost seamlessly. There are even rockabilly songs that seem to fit in. The stand out tracks are "Skunx" by Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards, and "Die Alone" by the U.S. Bombs. If you're a fan of the bands on Hellcat, this is right up your alley.

Bio[+]
Stemming from the Huntington Beach hardcore punk scene, the SoCal-based F-Minus (currently comprised of guitarist / vocalist Brad Logan, bassist Jennifer Johnson, guitarist Erika Danking and drummer Adam Zuckert) has been releasing old-school flavored punk rock since their 1997 Give ‘Em The Boot single. A year later, two EPs followed: Failed Society (Hellcat) and Won’t Bleed Me on Pealo Records), followed by their 1999 full-length self-titled debut (produced by Tim Armstrong of Rancid). Their follow-up album, Suburban Blight, was released in 2001.
