Rabble On The Move

Editor's Review:

The P.A.W.N.S. (Power and Wealth Need Slaves) are not afraid to speak their mind. Based here in Chico, this quartet's brand of punk is fast, hard, loud and political. In Rabble On The Move, the P.A.W.N.S. assault authority figures ranging from parents to the border patrol. Saint Ann on vocals is fierce and expressive, moving from a gritty howl to a rich, melodic tone at times. The band backing her is also dynamic. Songs like "Ride the Bus," with its bit of reggae flavor and "Atechnology," which opens with a neat jazzy part, are nice changes of pace from the relentless, sometimes heavy-handed punk rock onslaught.
