Anti-Pop Consortium

Arrhythmia 12"

Editor's Review:

Anti-Pop Consortium bring to the table a superb sophomore effort. The general feeling of the album is electric space funk beats with on point cleaver lyrics. Now this might be hard to swallow for your average Ecko-wearin' hip-hopper, thus Anti-Ppop might get labeled with the likes of Outkasts, minus the pop. However anyone who thoroughly listens to this album will realize the exceptional talent of the trio. The album is full of electric head nodding funk joints, such as "Bubblz." The album also offers the oddly interesting "We Kill Soap Scum" as well as the body moving "Silver Heat." Judging from Arrhythmia, Anti-Pop Consortium looks to help the progression of hip-hop and plans on being around to help elevate it.
