Something Corporate

Editor's Review:

In a word: contrived. In two words: Confidence Rock! I first heard these guys on The Late Late Show, and their single, "iF yoU C Jordan" was instantaneously (and regrettably) stuck in my head for weeks. It made me fancy the sight of ice picks and the thought of playing in traffic. Something Corporate sounds like typical pop rock masquerading in a punk's clothing, only with a distinct Journey twist due to the piano playing front man. Andrew McMahon's voice wavers between pseudo-sultry whispers and pre-pubescent whine but the three-part harmonies in "Little," work. Hell, maybe I should give 'em a break, cash in on my high school nostalgia and rock out in my Dickies...where's my wallet chain?
