This mostly-instrumental compilation features tracks from some of electronic production's heavy hitters, ranging from house to hip-hop. The lead track comes from Def Jux commander-in-chief El P, perhaps the most jocked rapper and producer currently rocking in the independent rap scene. His oddly playful number, "Day After the Day After," skews a pop-sensible beat with scratchy, muted horn and dark harpsichord samples. Anti-Pop Consortium's "Crab Lice," is thick with deep bass bombs and electro-blips, while This Kid Named Miles (a.k.a. Miles Tackett of The Breakestra) comes correct with a laid-back and soulful, organ sample-and-percussion-heavy track called "Slight Amnesia." Other tunes of note include Omid's watery, electro-lounge-y "Wading Venus," Peanut Butter Wolf and Madlib's battle-ready "Rawcore" and the grand and dusty, piano-laden "Multitude," courtesy of Blackalicious DJ Chief Xcel.
