Jurassic 5, the Pharcyde and Ras Kass

Hard Times/ Verbal Murder 12"

Editor's Review:

The first single from the N.V.A. (National Vinyl Association) compilation features a cool track from members of the Jurassic 5 and the Pharcyde, but it's the B-side featuring Ras Kass that makes this record truly shine. Sure, there's no doubt that the J5 / Pharcyde collaboration is dope, it's a real chill, laid back song, just like you'd expect from each respective group. It's just that the track, "Verbal Murder," by Ras Kass is that damn ill. The beat is bangin', it was produced by Eligh, and with a literal verbal murder from Ras Kass, it would be hard not to like the song. The single will most likely be purchased because of the J5 / Pharcyde song, but it's the flip side that will probably be listened to more.
