Oh, Inverted World

Editor's Review:

This has to be the best album I've heard all year! Oh, Inverted World is a fresh taste of music you've heard and loved before. This Albuquerque quintet offers jangly rock with spacey, echoed vocals and folk rock with unsurpassed harmonization. I cannot help but be reminded of the Beach Boys' sound of the late '60s in many of the tracks. The opening song, "Caring Is Creepy," is as "rock" as they get. I'd swear that the vocal effects used are the same presets that Ozzy used in his Sabbath days. It's Ozzy-esque with some "jang" guitar. "New Slang" is an acoustic jam accompanied by haunting Brian Wilson-like "ooohs," a tambourine and a wispy guitar solo. This guy's vocal range is incredible.
