El P

Editor's Review:

On his epic solo debut release, Fantastic Damage, El-P asserts, "My name is El-P / I produce and I rap too." Available in both double CD and double vinyl formats, this album contains the instrumental tracks for every song on Fantastic Damage, and is a further testament - on top of his work in the legendary Company Flow and production on Cannibal Ox's chillingly dope The Cold Vein - to his abilities on the boards. And yes, these tracks do stand on their own without words. The second CD in this two-disc set contains the original version of "Squeegee Man Shooting," an Rjd2 remix of "Lazerfaces' Warning" and the "Dead Weatherman" remix of "Dead Disnee," featuring rhymes by Cage, Camu Tao, Copywrite and Cannibal Ox's Vast Aire. The second CD also houses an enhanced portion which contains the "Deep Space 9mm" video, a video montage of short, off-stage moments mixed with songs from a live performance from SOB's in New York, and the lyrics from every song on Fantastic Damage - basically a must have for helpless El-P fans.
