The Story So Far is exactly what the name implies: a comprehensive look at Florida new school rockers New Found Glory. Broken up into three sections - "The Story So Far," a documentary-style feature from their humble beginnings to the making of their now-gold latest album Sticks and Stones, "Bonus Features," which include live footage of the band and an older homemade chronicle of the band's earlier tour experience which is sure to annoy all but the staunchest NFG fans, and "Videos," which features all five of the existing NFG music videos including the first version of "Hit or Miss" with Corey Feldman - The Story So Far is about two hours of sheer, unadulterated New Found Glory.
Despite being sometimes rather repetitive, The Story So Far does have more than enough money-shot moments for fans of the band. The real pay-off are the videos; "Dressed to Kill," stars the second-cutest girl in the world, Rachel Leigh Cook, as a suburban hottie and almost induced stroking. The newest video, "Head On Collision," features frontman Jordan Pundik doing his best Morrissey impression, with a vintage pre-faux hawk and brown plaid, and drummer Cyrus Boloski sporting a newly styled Spock-rock coif. This stands in pretty telling contrast to the late-adolescent, tattoo-free men-children featured in the low-budget first cut of "Hit or Miss." Fashion comments aside, the real strength of NFG has always been their irresistibly charming brand of new school pop-punk, which The Story So Far offers up in more than ample quantities.
