Various Artists

8 Mile Soundtrack

Editor's Review:

Chances are, if you're an Eminem fan, you already own this record. The songs by Slim Shady are definitely the selling points on this guaranteed #1 debut. However, there are some tracks on the record by other artists that deserve your attention. Most notably 50 Cent, though unfamiliar to the popular music public, is going to be the next act on Shady Records to blow up. Obie Trice comes in at a close second while some less impressive moments on the record include the despicable "Rap Game" by D12, and Jay Z along with the overly hyped Freeway are way off with "8 Miles and Running." The toss up track on this one goes to Nas with "U Wanna Be Me," which will either have you furiously nodding you head in agreement or just scratching it confused, thinking "what's the point?"
