the Beatnuts

The Originators

Editor's Review:

Not that they ever went away, but the Beatnuts are back! With a dope new album chock-full of dope beats and hardcore lyrics to satisfy all hip-hoppers growing tired of those familiar sounding Timbaland and Neptunes Top 40 jams. A party album from start to finish, The Originators will get it jumpin' with tracks like "Buying out the Bar," "Yae Yo," featuring Ill Bill, "My Music," and just wait till the ladies start to recognize the soon-to-be strip club anthem "Work That Pole." Definitely an impressive release from one of the most consistent hip-hop groups in the business. Now if these guys would just join forces with the Alkaholics and form a super group, my prayers would finally be answered.
