Eastern Conference All Stars III

Editor's Review:

This third installment in the Eastern Conference compilation series is by far the best of the three and features a slew of good MCs and producers who have been struggling to get heard, and are just now starting to get their due. This comp features tracks from Copywrite, Smut Peddlers' Cage, Camu Tao, RA The Rugged Man and Yak Ballz, with production by dope independent producers like J Zone, RJD2 and DJ Mighty Mi. Eminem jockers should note that the bleach blond Detroit bad boy (who, next to the other guys on this record, sounds like an amateur) appears on this comp's closing track, but there are at least 12 better songs on the album, especially RA The Rugged Man's "Brawl," with J Zone. These two really should be working together more. Until then, this CD offers that and a lot more good stuff - the season's best indie hip-hop compilation to date.
