This three-song EP from the curiously named Flashlight Brown has the honor of being atop the young year's "Worst Idea For a Band" list. The concept for Flashlight Brown seems to be thus: take a whole bunch of new school kids and force them to listen to Rancid's …And Out Come The Wolves over and over. The same vaguely ska-like guitar lines, the same incessant drum beat, the same call and response vocals; it's like Rancid only without all of the things that made Rancid even a little bit worth listening to, like believability, originality and songwriting. At least there's only three songs…
