Useless I.D.

No Vacation from the World

Editor's Review:

Amidst the tension and struggle of day-to-day life in their hometown of Haifa, Israel, Useless I.D. found escape in the catchy, bubbly sound of West Coast pop-punk. The opening track, "Same Story Someone New," perhaps says it all about this album - the band's affinity for groups like NOFX and MxPx is apparent. However, there is enough honesty to the music and personality in the lyrics to help distinguish this work from others of its ilk. It's really hard not to like No Vacation from the World. Songs like "The Worst Holiday I've Ever Had" and "At Least I Tried" show a lot of heart, and "Jukebox 86" mixes things up a bit with reggae-style breaks. There's nothing innovative to the band's delivery, but Useless I.D. does get their point across, and their music will get your head bobbing, which is probably all it has to do.
