After three years in production, Dischord Records has released an absolutely
incredible 73-track retrospective that includes six live videos and a book with
a history written by Henry Rollins. Dischord's mission has been to document
the D.C. punk scene, and as proof, they offer us 50 different tracks from 50
different bands over a 20-year span. The history is inspiring, the music is
utterly creative. Few labels have near the legacy of Dischord, and they are
truly a model for the independent music industry. The set includes 23 unreleased
tracks including the first song Minor Threat ever played together and an unreleased
Fugazi track from the Margin Walker days. Holy low-key hardcore, Batman! Don't
think twice, go get it.
