Tame One

When Rappers Attack

Editor's Review:

Just when I start thinking everything is going to shit, something dope like this album hits me. Tame One, formerly of Artifacts, has been doing this rap shit since ‘94, and unlike his peers who try so hard to live up to their past, Tame has found his hunger again. Having something to say makes all the difference. While Tame seems to be lyrically on top of his game, the beats compliment his style like girls in those shorts with Chico written on the ass; so damn beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, peep Tame’s ode to Slick Rick with his own rendition of “The Moment I Feared.” The best hip-hop release so far in 2003.
