Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Fever to Tell

Editor's Review:

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs just plain kick ass, that’s all there is to it. With teeth-rattling guitars and a lead singer who sounds like Debbie Harry’s wet dream, this collection of 11 blistering garage punk tunes delivers like no punk record in the last 20 years. This music is what made punk so damn sexy two decades ago, long before green Manic Panic and some face shrapnel were all you needed to get some serious cred. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs make those boys in The Strokes look like spoiled upper-class posers (oh wait, they are). With a majority of the songs on Fever to Tell clocking in at less than three-and-a-half minutes, this album is a swift gut-punch. Go out and buy it before you have to lie and say that you knew about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs way before they were huge.
