I’m usually quick to diss a hip-hop compilation for the simple fact that
they are usually a bunch of throw away tracks from artists with names you recognize,
but Ground Original doesn’t fall into that category. About 90 percent of
the production is handled by JS-1 and Dub L, which shows that this is an original
project, with artists who are actually down for the cause not the scrilla. Pioneers
like KRS-One and Kool G Rap shine just as much as the up and comers like Planet
Asia, and the illest cat on the rise, C Rayz Walz. This album will not let you
down, and may, in fact, surprise you.
