Elliott

Song In The Air

Editor's Review:

It has been some time since I’ve last heard an album that I can honestly describe as beautiful. Elliott’s latest release solidly exemplifies what other bands can only hope to achieve through extensive instrumentation: a dreamy, lush yet abrasive wall of rock. Vocalist Chris Higdon whispers almost entirely in falsetto and manifests a sense of desperation and hope throughout the disc. While some may write the album off as just another in a long line of emotional (I loathe the term “emo”) rock albums this year, Elliott deserves gigantic accolades for this gem of a release. You’d be hard-pressed to find another album with as many elegant musings as you’ll find on Songs In The Air. This is a must have for fans of U2-esque rock lullabies and those of you who are looking for truly inspiring music.
