Rasco, Planet Asia

The Saturday Nite Agenda

Editor's Review:

Another hip-hop compilation. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s not really a good thing either. The tracklist for this one is pretty dope, focusing on a lot of cats known for their contributions to hip-hop in the early ‘90s. D.I.T.C. members OC and AG each throw down on different tracks, which are pretty dope but lack the feeling they used to pack. Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One and Pete Rock (on the lyrics) do their thing on separate joints, and once again come off mediocre. The hottest song comes from the West Coast duo of Planet Asia and Rasco called “Hardcore Shit,” with an eerie beat and hard delivery. Once again, it’s not that this shit is wack, it’s just another hip-hop compilation.
