Rjd2
The Horror
Editor's Review:
Though this is a dope release, there’s really nothing new on this EP.
All 10 tracks have been previously released, but only in the vinyl format, making
this album a must-have for fans of Rj and quality independent, mostly instrumental
hip-hop. Contained on this follow-up to Rj’s stellar Def Jux debut, Dead
Ringer, are remixes and instrumentals of “Ghostwriter,” “Final
Frontier,” “June” and “F.H.H.” as well as the
highly sought-after “Bus Stop Bitties” and “Good Times Roll
pt. 1” (only “…pt. 2” is on Dead Ringer). But
if, because you’re a vinyl head, you think you’ve already got it
all, think again. This EP comes with an enhanced disc (for play in your PC or
Mac) containing video clips from two live shows: one in San Francisco and one
in New York, the latter of which features Def Jux MCs El P, Murs and Aesop Rock.
