Slick Shoes

Far From Nowhere

Editor's Review:

Slick Shoes are something of a throwback to the days when kids who grew up on metal started playing pop-y punk music. Well, maybe in Slick Shoes case, kids who grew up on bands who grew up on metal, like Pennywise. If you had to describe Slick Shoes in three words, it would be Pennywise gone emo. Though this may sound somewhat derisive, it’s actually something of a compliment; Far From Nowhere is a very listenable 12 tracks of metallic pop-punk, refreshing in its formulated predictability, if not notable for it’s lack of trendiness.
