Akrobatik

Balance

Editor's Review:

Boston is finally starting to get heard with Mr. Lif doing his thing, 7L & Esoteric, and now with Akrobatik. With his first solo release Balance, Ak is determined to show his versatility on the mic. The intro has Ak using all of the song titles in a verse, and breaks right into “Balance” which is his observation of life and hip-hop. The beats are all cool (Fakts One, Diamond, DJ Therapy, etc.) but it’s Akrobatik that shines through, and captures your ear with thought-out lyrics and authoritative delivery. Basically he’s got it all, from concept songs like the first single “Hypocrite,” the black conscious “Remind My Soul,” and straight up spitting on “The Bonecrusher.”
