Alkaline Trio

The Show Must Go Off: Halloween at the Metro

Editor's Review:

This DVD chronicles a Halloween night performance by morose emo-punkers of the month Alkaline Trio at the Metro in their hometown, Chicago. Filmed in 2002, the set list includes material from 2001’s From Here To the Infirmary and before. Though lacking in visual theatrics, the main portion of this DVD nevertheless succeeds in being worthwhile thanks to an inspired performance by the trio and rather impressive audio tracking. Bonus features include band commentary, angle options and the usual useless DVD junk. However, if you’re a fan of the band, or just a curious party, this DVD is a telling and somewhat entertaining look at the downtrodden goodness that is the Alkaline Trio.
