Inflatable Supermodel

Inflatable Supermodel

Editor's Review:

After dumping a pitcher of water over my head, I fought the urge to mosh the cat while listening to the debut album from Inflatable Supermodel, the rock band that slaps the Chico, California, music scene and tells it to get in the Cadillac. From the opening bars of “Real,” the chaos of an Inflatable show is brought to life in disc form, with on-the-mark drumming and vocals that capture the “crazy” in Crazy Joe (Manente, lead singer). The 14-track album includes such stage hits as “Puff,” “Wild Child” and the trademark “Ripper.” Though polished, it still has a college-rock feel, including a track list written on a bar napkin (photo, back cover) and an original front cover drawn by a real local rock musician. Recommended for incapacitated scenesters, raucous parties and any situation involving Chuck E. Cheese balls. Staples not included.
