Curb Servin: The Mixtape Sessions

Editor's Review:

Fresh off the release of their second album Deep Water Slang comes the Zion I street mix-tape, Curb Servin. This disc has a more hardcore street feel than past projects but doesn’t lack the lyrical power that put them on in the first place. There are a couple of dope remixes including a Madlib reworking of “Critical” with Planet Asia, and smoothed out version of “Flow” with The Grouch and Goapele. The nine unreleased tracks feature their boys D.U.S.T. and Deuce Eclipse over slumpin’ and original tracks produced by Amp Live, who also shows he’s got some ill cuts. When you buy this album and not bootleg it, you get a DVD along with some of the dopest hip-hop out of the Bay Area. Believe that.
