Red With Envy

Better Off Red

Editor's Review:

For as long as I have been living in Chico, CA, I have seen hundreds of Red with Envy stickers overwhelming the town. A long time in waiting, Better Off Red has delivered the intense hardcore, heart pumping sound that has fans craving for more like a dysfunctional nicotine patch. Red With Envy’s hard rock style creates a deep, dark aura, with solid energetic riffs and slow-moving breakdowns that are clean enough for you to eat off of. Vocalist Chavez Jarret comes through with clear, crisp-cut vocals, followed by a voice of hostility and conviction. Better Off Red gives a luscious taste of the artists’ array of musicianship and diverse contributions to the band. Whether you are a supporter of local music or not, you should check this out ‘cause it is definitely not a waste of your time.
