Emery

The Weak’s End

Editor's Review:

The first few seconds of The Weak’s End make it seem like Emery are yet another in the long line of nü-emo hollering hardcore bands crawling out of seemingly every corner these days. Fortunately, as The Weak’s End progresses, Emery show that they are still firmly in touch with their melodic roots. And even when Emery does throw out their metallic leanings, they do so with a firm grasp on their overall pop-oriented aesthetic. Produced by Ed Rose (Get Up Kids, Reggie & The Full Effect), The Weak’s End will obviously appeal to anyone who digs any other Tooth and Nail band, but will also be of interest to those who edge towards the more generalized pop rock side of the musical spectrum.
