Rocket From the Crypt

Circa Now! + 4

Editor's Review:

Circa Now! + 4 is a re-release of Rocket from the Crypt’s second album. Originally released in 1992, it was made before the adoption of snazzy stage threads and the addition of JC 2000 — before they fully crystallized into the band they are today. This release has informative new liner notes by Speedo and four bonus tracks that were actually recorded nine months after Circa Now! first hit the streets. While they are not on the same revved up level of rockin’ goodness as the original tunes, it is interesting to hear more songs from this early stage of the mighty Rocket. From the sax infused ferocity of “Short Lip Fuser” to the epic “Glazed,” this disc is worth owning without the bonus tracks, so take advantage of the extras and get it if you haven’t already.
