Aceyalone, Abstract Rude and Mikah Nyne

Coup De Theatre

Editor's Review:

Haiku De’Tat — a three-man group made up of Southern Cali underground rap veterans Aceyalone, Mikah 9 and Abstract Rude — have created one of the best indie rap albums of the year that you either haven’t heard, or won’t bother listening to. Fat Jack, the man behind the sounds of Coup De Theatre, has structured a heavy jazz soundtrack which helps support the foundation of the album — the chemistry between the three rappers. In every track the trio are able to bounce off of each other and continue the flow. Whether they are stutter-rapping over “Mike, Aaron & Eddie,” or trading fresh verses with Quantum lyricists Latyrx and Gift of Gab, Haiku De’Tat are pretty much guaranteed to come tight.
