Xzibit

Weapons of Mass Destruction

Editor's Review:

One of the most distinguishable voices in hip-hop has returned. Aside from pimping rides, Xzibit has been busy launching his own label, Open Bar, and building the foundation for Strong Arm Steady, his new crew. He's a busy businessman; but judging by the consistency and bangability of his fourth album, Weapons of Mass Destruction, he hasn't neglected his first passion: the microphone. Backed by producers Rick Rock, Timbaland, Hi-Tek and Khalil (don't sleep!), X to the Z has created an album with potential mass appeal, but is still driven by his own original sound. This is what West Coast hip-hop is all about. Lyrically he captures your brain, and sonically he makes your body move. All the elements are in place for success.
