Iggy Pop

Live in Detroit

Editor's Review:

Having never seen Iggy Pop or The Stooges live, my expectations of this release went something like this: (sigh)…alright, let’s cart out grandpa and get this over with. The Stooges’ heyday came and went decades ago, and Iggy’s done enough partying since to kill a colony of elephants; what do they have left? Well, as demonstrated to their hometown Motor City crowd, they have enough pure rock essence left to power a city block for a year. Iggy, the Asheton brothers and newly and rightfully ordained Stooge Mike Watt blaze through 14 classic cuts, demonstrating that rock ‘n’ roll knows not the bonds of age. Also included in this DVD are a rare in-store concert and an audio tour diary courtesy of Watt. This DVD gives hope to the aging and an invaluable lesson to this neophyte.
