Electric Frankenstein

Super Kool

Editor's Review:

These days, complicated genres like screamo and post-punk litter the music world, confusing the most literate music connoisseurs. Thank God Electric Frankenstein exists to simplify things with their brand of straightforward, high-energy rock ‘n’ roll. Super Kool explodes through eight tracks of sweaty, ass-shaking goodness, fusing the punk rock sass of The Sex Pistols with the awesome rock power of Motorhead. Songs like “Tear it Down” rock hard with breakneck drumming and staggering solos that could coax your grandmother into busting out the air guitar. Super Kool doesn’t deviate much from the verse-chorus-verse format; and while simplicity may decrease the replay value for some bands, Electric Frankenstein’s energetic blend of catchy sing-a-longs and rocking guitar riffs keeps things interesting. Super Kool is the perfect anecdote for those that bemoan the lack of sincerity and fun in today’s rock music.
