Rise Against

The Unraveling (Re-issue)

Editor's Review:

Melodic punkers Rise Against have come a long way in a short time. In only five years they have released three albums, their latest for major label Geffen. In the wake of their commercial success the band went back and remastered their first full-length, The Unraveling. Originally released in 2000, this is the Chicago four-piece at their hardest. With breakneck drum beats, shredding guitars and a penchant for singing-into-screeching vocals, it’s no wonder that Rise Against’s fanbase is as diverse as it is. With a foundation of punk and elements of metal, hardcore and the occasional touch of emo, there is no doubt that this band has a little something to offer everyone. That is, as long as the person wants to rock.
