There was a dark cloud cast upon the music scene the day the Pixies called it quits. But last year, to the disbelief of many, life was screamed back into the band by rock visionary Frank Black. The members regrouped to give the world one last taste of one of rock’s pioneering bands. The DVD follows a jumbled path of the reunion tour’s shows across the globe, with the occasional flash of audiences salivating over the sounds being created; looking completely elated to be in the presence of a second chance with these musical mystics. The Pixies’ enthusiasm seemed somewhat lackluster during the performances, but the music remains brilliant. Pick this up, watch it and relive the Pixies reliving the glory days.
